CFO moves often spark internal and external rumors and can draw the attention of investors and short-sellers. Chris Krusmark | Sleep Number
Chris Krusmark, the current executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Sleep Number, has been appointed as the interim CFO until a permanent replacement is found. Krusmark has been associated with the mattress and bedding company since 2005 and has served in various financial leadership positions. Prior to joining Sleep Number, he worked as a certified public accountant in the assurance and advisory practices of EY and Arthur Andersen. David Callen, the previous CFO, has stepped down from his role, and he will continue to provide financial advisory services until March 3.
Mona Kennedy | Open Farm
Open Farm, a pet food company, has appointed Mona Kennedy as its finance chief. Kennedy was previously the CFO at Canadian retailer Roots since 2020. Prior to that, she served as the vice president of finance at Indigo and held financial and strategic leadership positions at Maple Leaf Foods and Bombardier Aerospace.
Nirupam Sinha | Checkout.com
Nirupam Sinha has been appointed as Checkout.com’s CFO. Sinha joined the company in November 2021 as the senior vice president of corporate finance and strategy. Prior to joining Checkout.com, he served as the global head of product and group CFO of global distribution at T. Rowe Price, an asset management firm. Sinha replaces Céline Dufétel, who has been promoted to the newly created position of president while continuing to serve as the chief operating officer.
Joanne Knight | Cargill
Agribusiness giant Cargill has appointed Joanne Knight as its new Finance Chief. She assumed the role of Acting CFO last month when the former CFO, Jamie Miller, left to become the global CFO of Ernst & Young. Prior to her current position, Knight served as the Vice President of Finance for Cargill's agriculture supply chain enterprise. She has a decade of experience in finance, marketing, and business leadership roles at General Mills before joining Cargill. Knight has also held finance leadership positions at Wachovia.
Utpal Koppikar | Verily
Verily, an Alphabet company dedicated to precision health has appointed Utpal Koppikar as its CFO. Koppikar previously served as the chief financial officer of Atara Biotherapeutics since June 2018 and held various high-level financial leadership positions at Gilead Sciences, including the role of vice president of corporate and operations finance. Prior to that, he held multiple finance roles at Amgen, progressively increasing in responsibility.
Kristin Forney | Ocean Spray
Ocean Spray Cranberries has announced Kristin Forney as their new finance chief. Forney comes to Ocean Spray from the Hain Celestial Group, a natural food company, where she served as senior vice president of finance for their North America Division. Prior to that, Forney held leadership positions in finance and revenue growth management at multiple businesses within ConAgra Brands for 15 years. Earlier in her career, she spent close to five years working in public accounting at Grant Thornton.
Jeremy Rosenberg | Harmonic
Harmonic's CFO, Sanjay Kalra, has announced his resignation from the company, effective March 3, to explore other opportunities. In the interim, Jeremy Rosenberg, the Senior Vice President of Business Development, will serve as the company's CFO while Harmonic searches for a permanent replacement. Prior to joining Harmonic in 2015, Rosenberg held leadership positions at various companies, including Music Choice, where he served as the Senior Vice President of Technology, and Visible World, where he was the Chief Financial Officer.
Jessica Betjemann | Gogo
Jessica Betjemann has been promoted to the position of CFO at Gogo, an inflight internet and entertainment provider. Betjemann has been with the company since 2016 and most recently held the position of senior vice president of finance, chief accounting officer, and treasurer. Before joining Gogo, Betjemann worked as the vice president of strategic business planning at Nokia and held various senior leadership positions in strategy and business operations at Alcatel-Lucent. She takes over from Barry Rowan, who is retiring from his position as CFO after serving for almost six years.
Rémi Thomas | Proofpoint
Cybersecurity and compliance company Proofpoint has appointed Rémi Thomas as its Chief Financial Officer. Prior to this role, he served as the CFO of the cloud networking business Extreme Networks for four years. Thomas also held senior finance positions at CA Technologies and served as the CFO of HPE Software, a business unit of Hewlett Packard Enterprise. He replaces Paul Auvil, who is stepping down after serving as Proofpoint's CFO for 16 years.
Hagit Ynon | WalkMe
Hagit Ynon has been named the new chief financial officer of software-as-a-service company WalkMe. Ynon has been serving as the company's interim CFO for the past six months and had previously held the position of executive vice president of finance and operations for three years. Prior to joining WalkMe, Ynon spent close to 19 years working at tech company NICE in a variety of finance leadership roles, including corporate vice president of finance. In addition to her professional experience, Ynon is also a lecturer at Reichman University.
Robert Krakauer | Arevon
Renewable energy company Arevon has appointed Robert Krakauer as its new Chief Financial Officer. He joins Arevon from EcoGen BioSciences, a CBD manufacturer, where he served as the Chief Operating Officer. Prior to his role at EcoGen, Krakauer held CFO positions at various companies, including Lifelock, MagnaChip Semiconductor, ChipPAC, and Allied Signal Electronic Materials.
Sarah O’Connor | Rocky Brands
Sarah O'Connor has been hired by Rocky Brands as its new Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President, and Treasurer. O'Connor brings with her significant experience in financial planning and analysis, having previously served as Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis and Treasurer at MedVet, a chain of emergency hospitals and care centers for pets. Prior to that, she held several finance and treasury positions at L Brands. Tom Robertson, who previously held the position of CFO at Rocky Brands, will transition into the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer.
Ryan Clement | SelectQuote
SelectQuote has named Ryan Clement as its new Chief Financial Officer. Clement, who previously served as Senior Vice President of FP&A and interim CFO, has been working in this interim capacity since May 2022, after joining the company in January of the same year. Prior to his role at SelectQuote, Clement served as the CFO of software technology company Sifted. He also held various senior-level finance and operational positions at the investment advisory firm Edelman Financial Engines for seven years.
Teresa Luong | TrueCar
Teresa Luong has been promoted to the role of Chief Financial Officer of TrueCar, a digital automotive marketplace. Previously, Luong served as the Senior Vice President of Finance at the company since joining in 2014 from Conversant, where she held the position of Director of Finance. She succeeds Jantoon Reigersman, who held both the positions of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Reigersman will continue to serve as the Chief Operating Officer while Luong takes over the CFO role.
Michael McMullen | Yeti
After serving as interim finance chief since October 2022, Mike McMullen has been named permanent CFO of outdoor retailer Yeti. In addition to the CFO role, McMullen will also take on the positions of senior vice president and treasurer. McMullen joined Yeti in 2016 as head of FP&A and was promoted to vice president of finance in 2017. He played a critical role in the team that oversaw Yeti's initial public offering in 2018.
Natalya Davick | Trove
Natalya Davick has been appointed as the Finance Chief of fashion and apparel reseller, Trove. Previously, she served as the CFO of Palmetto Clean Tech, a B2C residential solar platform, and before that, as the Senior Vice President of Finance at Postmates, a food delivery service. Prior to these roles, Davick held finance leadership positions at Google, Twitter, and SoFi.
Chuck Boynton | Logitech
Logitech, the computer accessory manufacturer, has appointed Chuck Boynton as its finance chief. Boynton has over eight years of experience in executive or CFO roles in the renewable energy sector at SunPower, and he spent more than three years as CFO at Plantronics. He takes over from Nate Olmstead, who has resigned from the company.
Stephanie Fielding | Stord
Stephanie Fielding has been hired as the new finance chief of Stord, a cloud supply chain provider. Before joining Stord, Fielding served as CFO of Butterfly Network, a digital health company that went public while she was in the role. She also spent eight years at Amazon, where she led finance teams across various areas such as Amazon Web Services, operations, and marketing.
